12th World Congress of Microcirculation

The 12th World Congress of Microcirculation will be held from 20-24 September, 2023 in Beijing, China.

Microcirculation disorder is the main pathological basis of both chronic non-infectious diseases like cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes and tumors, and acute infectious diseases like COVID-19. Microcirculation involves a wide range of physiological phenomenon, such as the perfusion of arterioles, capillaries, venules and lymph-vessels; the exchange of oxygen, and carbon dioxide; the leakage of water, plasma albumin and blood cells; various changes in neutrophils, monocytes, lymphocytes, red blood cells, platelets, vascular endothelial cells, basement membrane, pericytes and mast cells; many important pathological changes in energy metabolism, oxidative stress, inflammatory factors, adhesion molecules, chemokines, apoptosis, autophagy, remodeling and multiple organ failure; implicating complex mechanisms like gene, epigenetics, proteomics and metabolomics. Microcirculation disorders are almost related to all clinical disciplines such as internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, dermatology, traumatology, first aid, etc. However, there is a lack of effective drugs to cope with the critical steps of microcirculation disorders, such as leukocyte adhesion, plasma albumin leakage, mast cell degranulation, hemorrhage, thrombus, and no efficient treatment is available for microcirculation disorder related diseases.

Under the joint effort of the core scientific committee, international scientific committee and local organizing committee of the 12th WCM, 6 experts are elected as keynote speakers, including 2 Professors  from USA, 2 Professors from Europe, 1 Professor from Australia and 1 Professor from China. We have 41 symposia in the 12th WCM, including 17 symposia from North America, 9 symposia from Europe, 3 symposia from Austria-New Zealand, 3 symposia from Japan, 1 China-Japan Joint symposium and 8 symposia from China. We also have 7 young symposia. We will select 12 speakers from abstract submission to join the 41 symposia and select 11 speakers from abstract submission to join the young symposia. We also have 6 satellite symposia, 12 free oral communication symposia and 63 sessions of posters. These symposia and poster communication will provide a platform for professors, scholars, young researchers and students to exchange new theories, new methods and new technologies, and making new friends.

September 20-24 will be a nice time to visit Beijing. We sincerely welcome scholars from North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania to Beijing to attend the 12th World Congress of Microcirculation.
